How to create a stone shovel in Minecraft?
Minecraft is all about creating and adding various items and tools to your gameplay. The tool does not really have to be the craftful one, whereas you can also create some weapons for fighting the outside world involving wild animals and beasts.
One such item is a stone shovel, that you can use both as a tool as well as a weapon to fight various things in Minecraft
In this blog given below, we will be knowing about the ways of creating a stone shovel.
You don’t really have to find and gather the stone shovel by roaming around the world. Or you don’t really have to steal it from other settlements by killing the players. Rather, you can easily create it in the crafting table by following some really simple steps given below.
Before we move on to the process of creating a stone shovel in the crafting table, you need to know about the editions of Minecraft that do support this process of creating a stone shovel in the crafting table.
Suppose if you begin this process and come to know at the end that the process that you have followed doesn’t really work in the edition of Minecraft that you are using. Then you will certainly be frustrated and annoyed by the whole thing.
The editions of Minecraft that do support the process of creating the stone shovel are;
Java Edition
Pocket Edition
Xbox 360
Xbox One
PS3
PS4
Wii U
Nintendo Switch
Windows 10 Edition
Education Edition
So, these are the editions of Minecraft that support the following process.
1. Opening the craft table
The very first step towards crafting the stone shovel is to open the crafting table in the first place.
You need to open the crafting table in your editions of Minecraft by following the respective step or gesture for doing so.
Once you open the crafting table, a rectangle table having two distinct sections appears on your Minecraft screen. The first section consists of the input part where you need to merge the required items. The second part is the output section where you get the final product.
The first part consists of a square box that has nine similar blocks arranged in the order of three columns and three rows.
The output section consists of a single box that holds all of the occuring products in it. Suppose you get a single product by following some process in the craft table that also appears there. Suppose you get 10 products by following some process; those ten products also appear in there only.
That was all about opening the craft table in the Minecraft gameplay.
Now that you have opened the craft table, you can move to the another step that is arranging the required items.
2. Arranging the required items
The process of arranging the required items in this process will be followed in two seperate ways as we have two sets of arrangements for obtaining a stone shovel in the crafting table.
Though the process remains somewhat similar, the required items differ in both ways. In one set, we have some different items and in the other way we have some different items.
So we do have a different set of ways for getting a stone shovel in Minecraft.
Way 1
In this way we will be using the following items to craft the stone shovel in the crafting table;
- Two stick
- A black stone
So get the two sticks and a black stone to begin the process of creating a stone shovel in the crafting table.
Now that you have opened up the crafting table, you just need to arrange the required items that are two sticks and a black stone in the correct manner to get a stone shovel as the final product.
You need to follow a definite order of arrangement of the required items to get a particular finished product in the crafting table. If you arrange the required items in a random manner then you would not get a finished product in the crafting table.
You need to follow the exact arrangement of the two sticks and a blackstone to get the stone shovel as given below.
- Place the black stone in the first place in the second column and the two sticks in the second and third position in the second column of the square box in the crafting table.
Or, place the blackstone on the second position in the first row, and the two sticks on the second positions in the second and third of the square box in the crafting table.
In other words, place the black stone in the second position in the first level, the stick in the second position in the second level, the other stick in the second position in the last level of the square box in the crafting table.
Follow the exact manner of arrangement as given below, and you will notice a stone shovel appear in the final or output section of the crafting table.

Way 2
In this step we will be creating the stone shovel in the crafting table by combining the elements;
Two sticks
A cobblestone
So here we will use the two sticks and a cobblestone to produce the stone shovel in the crafting table.
You need to follow the exact same manner of arranging the items in the crafting table as given below.
In the first row of the square box place the cobblestone in the second place, in the second row place the stick in the second position, in the third row place the other stick in the second place.
Or, arrange the cobblestone in the first place in the second column, the two sticks in the second and third position in the second column of the square box in the crafting table.
In other words, arrange the cobblestone in the second place in the first level, the stick in the second position in the second level, and the last stick in the second position in the third level.
Place the sticks and a cobblestone in the similar manner as given above, then only you would be able to obtain a final product in the crafting table.
Here you have successfully created a stone shovel in the crafting table by combining the required items.
We considered both the ways of creating the stone shovel by using the different items.
And we have created a stone each from every way. The stone shovel just looks similar in both of the above ways.
Now that you have created the stone shovel, it’s time that you add it to your gameplay and explore the uses of it.
3. Adding the stone shovel
You cannot be able to access the stone shovel in Minecraft unless you add it to your gameplay first.
For adding the stone shovel to the gameplay in Minecraft you need to first of all add it to the inventory.
You need to drag the stone shovel from the output section to the inventory by following the respective steps or gestures in your editions for doing so.
After you add the stone shovel to the inventory, you will notice that the stone shovel also appears in the bar, present on the bottom of the Minecraft in your respective editions.
Now you can use it from that bar whenever you want to.
Here you have successfully created and added the stone shovel to your gameplay in Minecraft.
