When struck by spectral arrows in Minecraft, they will outline monsters and players with a glowing effect.

Have you ever wished you could simply track a target regardless of line of sight or the number of creatures in the vicinity? In that case, spectral arrows in Minecraft may be the ideal option.

The target hit will be marked and given the glowing effect after one of these arrows successfully hits another player or a mob. Players will be able to keep a clear view of the target regardless of their surroundings if they do so.

Fortunately for Minecraft gamers, obtaining spectral arrows is rather straightforward. Some of these arrows can be made with just flints, sticks, feathers, and a little glowstone dust.

How to make a Spectral Arrow in Minecraft

For 10 seconds, a spectral arrow grants the Glowing status effect. The glowing effect provides a target outline that can be seen through blocks and is colored according to the target’s team (white by default). Spectral arrows are still expended even when a bow is enchanted with Infinity.

In-game, spectral arrows look to have a golden tip and will aid players in keeping track of targets they are battling. When a spectral arrow hits another player or hostile mob, it will glow.

This can be extremely useful for gamers who are battling someone who is attempting to leave. Minecraft players who used a spectral arrow to hit their target first will be able to track them. The glowing effect will highlight their target, and regardless of line of sight, the player will be allowed to see where the target is heading to.

Even if a mob or another player runs and hides behind several blocks, they can still be tracked down. This is due to the glowing effect, which will reveal the hunter exactly where his prey is hiding behind the blocks.

Now that you know about Spectral Arrows, let’s start making them.

Items required to make a Spectral Arrow

First of all, to craft anything in Minecraft, one requires a Crafting Table.

Making crafting tables is as simple as placing a block of wood in the 2×2 crafting area and cutting it into four wooden planks. These four wooden planks are re-positioned in the crafting area, creating a crafting table.

Tables for crafting can be put on the ground. They display a 3×3 grid that may be used to make several of the game’s items.

You can also find Crafting Tables in Villages.

To make a spectral arrow, you will need to combine the following materials in the Crafting Table.

  • One Arrow

In order to make spectral arrows, players will also require arrows. Arrows can be gained by killing skeletons or stray animals, purchased with emeralds from novice-level fletcher villagers, or found in naturally generated chests.

In order to get four arrows, players can use a piece of flint, a stick, and a feather to make their own. Feathers can be found in chickens and shipwreck map chests. Wood planks of any sort can be simply transformed into sticks. When the block is mined, there is a 10% chance that Flint will be dropped instead of gravel.

In the upper row of your 3×3 crafting table grid, place one flint in the middle column. In the middle row of your 3×3 crafting table grid, place one stick in the middle column. In the bottom row of your 3×3 crafting table grid, place one feather in the middle column.

  • Four Glowstone Dust

Glowstone dust is found in Glowstone blocks all over the Nether.  Glowstone is generally seen in big clumps on the bottom of ceilings or overhangs. When these blocks are shattered, two to four glowstone dust will fall as a result.

In order to boost the amount of glowstone dust collected, players can utilize a tool enchanted with fortune. If a player uses a silk touch-enchanted tool, the block will drop instead of the dust needed to make spectral arrows.
