A pillager outpost is a collection of pillager-inhabited constructions. Pillager Outpost in Minecraft. Pillager outposts are semi-rare constructions that appear every few hundred to several thousand blocks. As a result, they are less common than villages but more common than woodland mansions.
Pillager Outpost in Minecraft
Pillager outposts can appear in any biome that generates villages, including:
- Plains
- Desert
- Savanna
- Taiga
- Snowy Tundra
- Snowy Taiga
- Sunflower Plains
- Meadow
Pillager outposts can also be found in biomes where communities do not exist:
- Grove
- Snowy Slopes
- Jagged Peaks
- Frozen Peaks
- Stony Peaks
Pillager outposts never appear too near to or within communities in Java Edition. They can also spawn far distant from villages in Bedrock Edition.
If an outpost spawns in the ocean or the air (for example, near a savanna plateau), a circular platform of grass (or sand), soil, and stone spawns beneath it in Java Edition. Smaller buildings, such as tents, targets, log piles, and cages, are also affected. Depending on how far up they are, the smaller constructions will occasionally spawn in the air despite having a platform beneath them.
Pillager outposts in Bedrock Edition are built with foundations similar to those of a woodland mansion: watchtowers are built with cobblestone, birch planks, and dark oak logs; tents and cages are built with dark oak planks; log piles are built with horizontal dark oak logs; and targets are built with cobblestone.
Each time, the outpost tower generates. Around the edge of the main outpost construction, up to four lesser structures may sprout.
Around the outpost, eight more air blocks are generated.

Only during the development of the outpost constructions do iron golems and allays arise. If an allay or an iron golem spawns, it does so exclusively inside a cage. [NEXT: JE 1.19 & BE 1.19] .0] Because iron golems may assault through a one-block wall, pillagers do not attack iron golems in cages.
Around the building, both normal pillagers and pillager leaders can spawn indefinitely. If a player is within the tower, pillagers can still spawn. [In-game testing is required] They spawn in a 72*54*72 region on the top level of the watchtower, the same level as the treasure, in Java Edition. They spawn at or below a specified point in the outpost in Bedrock Edition; precisely, the northwest corner of the topmost opaque block with a non-solid block on top.
Only pillagers and passive creatures can spawn in a pillager outpost spawn region in Java Edition. Pillagers can spawn on any valid opaque block with a sky light level of 11 or below and a block light level of 8, but they can also spawn on grass or sand blocks with any sky light level. As a result, players may pacify an outpost by removing all grass/sand blocks and lighting the area appropriately as they would normally to avoid hostile mob spawning.
A pillager outpost generates a total of eight pillagers, including the pillager commander.
Bad Omen
The player gains 1 level of the Bad Omen effect for 100 minutes after murdering an outpost captain (5 in-game days).
Where to Find a Pillager Outpost
A Pillager Outpost is a construction in Minecraft that develops naturally near a community (about 300 blocks away from the village). Pillagers protect the Outpost, which is made up of a small set of structures. The Pillager Outpost can emerge in any biome that a settlement can because it is generated near one. Pillager Outposts may be found in biomes such as the Plains, Desert, Savanna, Taiga, and so on.
Watchtower
A massive building known as a Watchtower stands in the heart of the Pillager Outpost. This is the Outpost’s main building, which includes four storeys. There are two illager flags hanging from the upper level on either side of the Watchtower.
A chest full of goods may also be found on the upper level of the Watchtower.
Bottle o’enchanting, crossbow, tripwire hooks, carrots, wheat, and dark oak logs are among the goods that may be found in this chest.
Smaller Structures
Around the Watchtower, the Pillager Outpost might include lesser constructions. A cage with an Iron Golem trapped within is common.
The Pillager Outpost’s Defenders
A new mob known as the pillager guards the Pillager Outpost. The pillagers will assault you as soon as you enter the Outpost.
Pillager
As a weapon, the pillager wields a crossbow and arrows. So be cautious while approaching these mobs because they may shoot you from afar, making them more difficult to destroy.
Outpost Commander Pillager
When you begin hitting the many pillagers in the Outpost, you will be attacked by a unique pillager who is the Outpost’s commander. Because it wears a villager banner on its head, its leader is easy to detect.
