The End in Minecraft

The End depicts the abyss that divides the different dimensions, assuming the Nether is Minecraft’s version of Hell. It’s a land full of darkness and odd animals, and for many, it’ll be their final destination. For you, it’s the next aspect of Minecraft to go into. We’ve got the inside scoop on everything you need to know about The End in Minecraft.

HOW ARE YOU GOING TO GET TO THE END?

The End in Minecraft

It is not necessary to wander endlessly till you arrive in that dark dimension, nor is it necessary to construct your own gateway out of obsidian and aspirations to reach the End. Instead, you’ll need access to certain high-end resources as well as the motivation to travel a significant distance to reach your target.

Travel to the Nether, slaughter hordes of flames, smash them to powder, track down hundreds of endermen, gather the weird pearls they leave behind, manufacture the rare eye of ender, locate the End stronghold, navigate the cryptic maze, trigger the End Portal, and so on.

WHAT IS THE END?

The End in Minecraft

The End is the third and last dimension a player can visit throughout their travels in Minecraft, and it is home to the game’s final boss, the ender dragon. The main centre island, which houses a circle of tall obsidian pillars and a fountain-like feature formed of bedrock in the precise middle, dominates the first sight of the End. This fountain serves as an exit door, allowing players to depart the End once they’ve completed it. The ender dragon will be soaring over this middle island the first time a player visits the End.

The main island of the End is pretty uninteresting and desolate aside from this limited group of buildings. The emptiness, which surrounds the main island, is a vast expanse of nothing. While it may not appear so at first appearance, there are other islands that rotate around the central island, but the space between them is usually far too enormous to see and cross readily by regular means.

Only the small end portals known as gateways that arise in random spots around the End may be used to reach the outer islands in a realistic manner. The bedrock caps at each end of these portals are visible, with a single block of portal visible in the centre. They only emerge once the ender dragon has been vanquished, and they will immediately take you to another portal in the End. Unfortunately, there’s no way to know exactly where the portal will take you. Finding another gateway that teleports you to the beginning location near the centre is required to return to the centre island (and therefore depart the End).

The End includes four distinct biomes (five if you consider the main island) that spawn semi-randomly around the central End island, each with its own set of traits, occur in various locations, and create diverse constructions. All of them have one thing in common: they’re all made entirely of a porous block called end stone, and they’re all inhabited by the tall, dark, and not-so attractive endermen

.

There are a few options for getting via these portals. Tossing an ender pearl into the portal is by far the easiest. Ender pearls will rapidly and painlessly transport you to the opposite side of the portal. Alternatively, you may fill the space between the gateway and the bedrock caps on each end with water and swim through. You might also try flying through using elytra. Both demand a significant amount of effort and are only useful if you have no other options.

You may even construct a massive 1,000-block-long bridge across the gulf between the centre and outlying islands if you don’t want to use the gateways at all. You may also attempt to boost yourself over with elytra and a lot of explosions. Again, locating a gateway and tossing an ender pearl through it takes a lot more time and work.

Here are a few things to think about when it comes to the End:

Getting to the end does not grant you complete access. You must first defeat the ender dragon in order to access any of the fun things on the End’s outlying islands, or to leave for that matter.

There is no such thing as a day/night cycle. There is no sun or moon to indicate the time of day, therefore maps and clocks are useless here, just as they are in the Nether.

Beds simply erupt. Beds are useless in the end, not that you’d want to sleep here anyhow. When someone attempts to sleep in them, they explode with greater force than TNT.

Nether Portals cannot be activated here. Again, I’m not sure why anyone would try, but Nether Portals just do not function in the end.

In the end, it’s quite dark. The End has very little natural light, and without the sun or even the lava that the Nether relies on, it can be difficult to see.

Purple is the colour of water. If you put any water in the End, the hue will change to purple. Feature? Not actually, but it’s amusing.

The end stone can withstand an explosion. End stone is one of the most blast-resistant blocks in the game and can be mined with any pickaxe. In fact, it is 1.5 times more explosive resistant than stone.

WHAT CAN YOU FIND IN THE END?

On the surface, The End appears to be barren, yet it actually has a lot of substance waiting for those that investigate it. While it may not be as rewarding as a journey to the Nether, curious players may still uncover a lot of cool items outside of the drab middle island that appears to dominate a player’s arrival into the End. There are a variety of groups, structures, and strongholds to find, kill, and flee from.

Here’s what you’ll find at the end of the book:

Obsidian platform. Every End will create one obsidian platform, which will be recessed in an empty end stone chamber. This platform frequently spawns a good distance from the main island’s centre, although it’s still within leaping distance of land. This obsidian platform serves only one purpose: to serve as the arrival point for any new gamers. This platform will appear after you teleport into the End from the Overworld. Do not attempt to construct anything or make any alterations here, as each journey to the End restores this platform to its original state.

Obsidian pillars. Towering obsidian pillars that encircle a fountain-like structure on the main island will be another feature of the End. These pillars, which raise end crystals into the sky, are yet another stumbling block in the way of defeating the ender dragon. Unless you resuscitate the ender dragon, the obsidian pillars have no additional use or secrets once the ender dragon is slain.

Portal to the exit. There are only two options for escaping the End. The first option includes a horrific death and is definitely not the best choice. The second option is to trigger the bedrock-based fountain in the centre of the main island. This is the one-way exit out of the End, and it’s also known as the departure portal. If a player returns, they will begin on the obsidian platform, which is a short distance away.

Gateways. You’ll probably want to explore the remainder of the End once you’ve fought the ender dragon. You’ll need to locate these floating gateways in order to do so. An ender pearl will be the most convenient way to traverse across them.

Chorus trees are trees that produce music. The chorus trees are the only type of vegetation found near the end. On the outer islands, these twisted and damaged trees are the only source of choral flowers and fruit. Simply mine the bottommost piece, exactly like sugar cane, to chop one down. These trees are composed of choral plants, which are difficult to come by in the normal world.

Chorus flowers. You’ll need to pick chorus flowers and put them in end stone if you want to develop your own chorus trees. They may be mined with any tool, or they can be shot down with a bow or crossbow. They grow at the top of a chorus tree and aren’t fallen until the entire tree has died.

Chorus fruit. Chorus fruit is an edible item that chorus trees frequently drop after they are killed. They replenish some hunger when ingested, but they can also transport the person who ate them someplace close at random. They function similarly to ender pearls in this sense. Chorus fruits can also be cooked to create popped chorus fruit, a useful item for crafting.

End ships. The name of these floating constructions is very apt. They resemble purple pirate ships floating in mid-air. They typically have useful loot, such as elytra and dragon heads, and are the only spot in the game where a player may get them. Typically, they produce cities at the end of the line.

End cities. End cities are more intimidating and mysterious skyscrapers than cities. These fortresses are the crown jewels of the End, and they contain some of the most valuable plunder. They’re also home to the shulkers, an aggressive mob that may be a pain if you’re not cautious.
