The first way of changing the mode in gameplay from the existing difficulty mode, is by changing the difficulty setting in your respective devices. 

You can change the difficulty mode in your respective devices by going to the Options menu there. And then changing the difficulty modes inside the difficulty settings. 

The other way of changing the difficulty modes by using the required /difficulty command. 

There are some specified or a certain /difficulty commands for changing the different difficulty modes in your respective device or editions of Minecraft. You need to remember the ascertain difficulty command associated with the difficulty mode that you wish to change to.

As the ender dragon is considered to be the boss of the mob in the End dimension of the Minecraft gameplay, and has the actual potential to spawn the player inside the peaceful mode. So, you have to be quite away from the ender dragon in the Minecraft gameplay, in order to save your life. 

Apart from the mobs, you will certainly get hurt by the lava as well, you will also experience some damage to your energy or power in Minecraft, if you get drawn or fall from a serious height. Whereas your energy or power will replenish from time to time after you experience an energy loss. Here, in peaceful mode there will be no shortage of any kind of food item, but you will not feel that much hunger to eat any kind of food. Though you will be required to eat the golden Apple here in the peaceful mode.

Easy Mode

Easy mode is one level harder than the peaceful mode that we explored above. Here, in easy mode the various hostile mobs can spawn you but they will be  dealing much lesser damage to you then the medium mode. Apart from that the various mobs would not be affecting you with any kind of special effects  here. Though you will be dealing the damages from the lava and drowning in the water. You will also experience some serious damage by falling from a height in your gameplay.

Now, talking about the hunger and eating issue in the easy mode. You will have to eat various  things from time to time or your health or energy level will get significantly down. You will reach somewhere to about 5 hearts health, if you are dealing with hunger. So you will not be  dying from hunger in the easy mode but you will have some damage to health. 

So that was about the easy mode that you can experience in your respective device or editions of Minecraft. 

Normal mode

Now, normal mode or medium mode is the  mode that lies in the middle of the easy and hard mode, so you can guess the effect that it will be having on your gameplay. 

This is actually the most used mode in the  Minecraft gameplay, if you haven’t changed the mode in your device or edition of Minecraft, then you certainly would be playing this mode. Here, the various hostile mobs do spawn and cause you damage in a respective manner. You  will be experiencing the various special damages caused by some distinct creature in the gameplay here. Like, you will get poisoned from the cave spider in this mode here. 

The physical world damage will also  be  affecting you in a considerable manner. You  will lose some energy points if you get affected by lava, or you  get  drowned somewhere, or you fall from a serious height in the gameplay. Apart from that, you will lose some energy or health points if you do not eat anything in the gameplay, hunger can bring down the  health points in your gameplay to about half health. Though you would not die from hunger, it can affect  your health considerably. 

So, that was all about the Medium mode, that you are certainly playing if you haven’t changed the difficulty modes. 

Harder mode

Now moving onto the harder mode in the Minecraft gameplay, we have. 

This is the mode where you get to experience  the utmost level of difficulty. Everything will be  extreme here whether we talk of damage or effects. Here the various hostile mobs can spawn you and inflict the damage that is really higher than that in the medium or normal mode. The mobs can affect you with their special effects here as well. You will get  significant damage, if  you fall from  a certain height, or drown somewhere, or move closer to a lava. 

You have to eat food from time to time in the harder mode, or your health or energy level can drop considerably. In the harder mode, your health level can reach the minimum due to hunger, thereby causing you to die. You have to be careful of  your daily intake there in the harder mode inside the Minecraft gameplay.
