How to Find a Stronghold in Minecraft

Strongholds are underground fortifications containing creatures and loot that are required to enter the End. A stronghold contains a room with an End portal, which sends you to the End, where the ender dragon, new mobs, and End Cities can be found.

Finding a stronghold is essential not just for obtaining some rare things, but also for discovering the end portal required to reach the end. Finding these strongholds, on the other hand, might be a difficult undertaking, especially because they are buried underground, making finding them a difficult task.

Strongholds mostly emerge underground and favor biomes above sea level, though they can also generate underwater if required. Strongholds can form at the bedrock level, causing the bedrock to be cut.

Caves, mineshafts, fossils, and dungeons can overwrite most elements of the stronghold, however, the final portal is rarely overwritten, forcing a player to seek for one of the other strongholds, as a portal can only be triggered with all 12 frame-blocks present. The size of strongholds varies. They have a lot of doors and rooms made of stone bricks (45 percent), mossy stone bricks (30 percent), cracked stone bricks (20 percent), and infested stone bricks (5 percent ). Unless silverfish reach these blocks, infested cracked stone bricks, as well as infested mossy stone bricks, do not generate. There are enough torches in strongholds to enable visibility in most regions, but not enough to prevent mob spawns. Directions to find a Stronghold in Minecraft

To see which way an Eye of Ender goes, first select one from your Hotbar and throw it into the air.

The game control for throwing the Eye of Ender varies depending on the Minecraft version:

If you’re using Java Edition on a PC or Mac, you can throw the Eye of Ender by right-clicking on it.
You must tap where you want to throw the Eye of Ender if you are using Pocket Edition (PE).
You must press the LT button on the Xbox controller if you are using an Xbox 360 or Xbox One.
If you have a PS3 or PS4 console, you must hit the L2 button on the PS controller.
You must hit the ZL button on the gamepad if you are a Wii U user.
You must hit the ZL button on the controller if you are using the Nintendo Switch.
If you have Windows 10 Edition installed, you must right-click to throw the Eye of Ender.
If you’re using the Education Edition, you’ll need to right-click to throw the Eye of Ender.

The Eye of Ender will float into the air, hover, and finally plummet to the ground. This is the right path for you to take. You can pick up and throw the Eye of Ender again if it does not break.

Continue tossing the Eye of Ender into the air until it lands on a single point. This is where your Stronghold is located.
